Lots of pics people...
The approach (please note, our boy Jake tossed these balls all by himself...about 13 or 14 frames worth until he discovered something else further down this post - they took a little while to get down the lane, especially towards the end, but for a three year old - not too shabby! Mommy and daddy alternated standing by to make sure he didn't run down the lane himself :p)
The toss!
The wait (excrutiating, lol)
The celebration - yay!
The score (and, let the record show that the very FIRST ball Jake through was a strike! Mommy was still messing with the scoreboard though so it didn't register:-( )
And here is what Jake *really* wanted to be doing once he spotted it...stupid video games :p
Sorry the pics aren't that great - I was trying to take pics, help Jake and bowl myself all at the same time. My mom and stepdad Scott came too and it was a blast! So glad we did it...Jake is already asking to "go bowing" again though I suspect it has something to do with the Racing game and the M&Ms...
OH, and by the way...size 11 bowling shoes with velcro are about the cutest things ever!
Lots more planned for us this weekend (well, compared to a usual weekend, lol) hope you all have a good one!
Awwwwww, it looks like all of you had so much fun! I love the pics! Maybe we'll have to take Cole bowling sometime soon! Enjoy your weekend and have a fabulous time!
ReplyDeleteLove those pictures, E! My family and I LOVE to bowl!! We call ourselves the "Gutter Ball Gang!" We're even thinking about getting shirts made to say that. I do already have a shirt though that I bowl in. It says, "Grab your balls, we're going bowling!" It was too funny and I HAD to have it so now I do! ;) Thanks for sharing! Have a fun weekend!
ReplyDeleteK, bowling is very fun... but seriously, the wait while it goes down, and then gets stuck... not my favorite thing... :) You, good mom.

Hope your well.
And as for job hunting. I use to be a recruiter and work doing job placement. My best advice is keep plugging away. Apply to companies that aren't even looking or advertising. Also if you want to send me your resume (which I am sure is fine) I can review it. I use to also be the Human Resource manager of a new IT start up. I will tell you that it was those candidates that were a bit persistant, asked to speak to me and even asked to meet with me for 5 minutes while dropping off their resume that made the biggest impression and were the ones we would likely hire. Persistance. And don't think you are bugging people. you aren't. Also recruiting agencies, have your resume in with all of them in your area. They do get you in. Be open to contract and short term as well. This often leads to full time. It is how I got one of my best full time jobs... from a temp. agency.
Hang in there! Hugs.
well i LOVE all the pics, i think they are great & how cute! Congrats to lil man for his 1st strike, how fun!!! i miss bowling, used to bowl all the time while my mom had her league nights every week when i was growing up. so fun!! you've got me wanting to take Ty bowling, but lil man is a runner & i fear him running around breaking his neck & trying to toss the ball at us instead...LOL!
